In 2006 we supported THE ROYAL MANCHESTER CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL RESEARCH EQUIPMENT FUND. The charity was set up by Kath Smith in 1983 and closed in 2007 when Kath finally had to call it a day, well into her 90s. The Fund raised money to purchase specialist surgical equipment for the Path lab, for research into cancer, leukaemia and kidney diseases, also to supply the operating theatre with the finest possible equipment for the correction of most of these and other diseases in children. In 2007 we have supported SPRINGWOOD PRIMARY SCHOOL, SWINTON. Money raised has gone towards equipment to help children with a variety of special needs. Salford Salutes Dylan is fortunate to have attracted a great deal of support from a variety of people who enjoy the music of Bob Dylan and who are happy to give of their own time or resources to stage events. We are grateful to everyone who has helped - to the landlord and staff of the King's Arms for providing us with a superb venue, with its excellent PA system and lighting, not to mention the great range of beers and food available! -to everyone who performs at our gigs. We have a great mix of talent and enthusiasm and a very creative take on the wonderful legacy of music inspired by Bob Dylan. -to everyone who helps with promoting events, from producing artwork, posters and tickets to getting people along to the gigs. -to everyone who has attended our events and contributed to the warm, whacky and wonderful atmosphere, we thank them all. Special thanks to Paranormal99 for so kindly donating a bottle of whisky for us to auction.
