An exert from one of my stories: MYST MYST A.M.S. A book lay before me. Leather bound and looking as if it had been put through hell. It was almost completely drenched in the mud puddle it slopped in. My curiosity over took me; I leaned over and picked the book up. Being unable to flip quickly though the pages, I turned to the first page and began to read. The words colorfully described and island in great detail. Having been away from home for so long, reading something so well written was refreshing. As I continued reading, I noticed that the first two pages had stuck together from what mud remained. When I flipped the page, a panel, only a few inches in height and diameter, came into view. It was a moving picture that revolved around the island it described. It was surrounded by crystal clear water that flooded the rest of the scene. As far as I could tell, the screen was still a part of the paper, but also looked as if there were a pain of glass behind it. I touched the panel. I was flying. Though everything around me was pitch black, I could feel the air rushing past me. I was moving faster than I ever had before. I stopped, and a moment later leveled out. My feet touched the ground and in the distance, I could see a just a hint of color. It rapidly grew in size. Everything around me started to turn a shade of sky blue. I airs became cold and the flat blue began to take shape. Below me turned into water and into waves. Above me grew lighter and became the sky. Ahead of me, an island formed; the same one that was shown on the book's panel. It seemed like the island was moving toward me because there was no rushing air. I moved close enough to make out a ship dock, the wood being extremely rotten looking and a sunken mast of a ship. I stood upon the dock. It creaked under my weight.Videos (211 )
