Books: I like the Classics: Bronte Sisters, Charles Dickens, Mark Twain, Victor Hugo...favorite book of all time is Les Miserables. I also like nonfiction biographies and true forensic crime.
Movies: My Left Foot, The Great Escape, Empire of the Sun, ET. Forest Gump, A Few good Men, Singing in the Rain, A Christmas Story, Disney animated films, 500 Nations, How the West Was Lost, Dances With Wolves, Dreamkeeper and many other Native American films. Don't watch much tv, but favorites are The Office, Ellen Degenerous, Nova, Globe Trekker, Bill Moyers Journal, Religion and Ethics, Nature and Science and true Documentaries.
Music: All kinds. Favorite songwriters are Cat Stevens, Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, Robbie Robertson, Leonard Cohen, U2, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Dan Folgelberg, Dolly Parton, John Fogerty, Paul Simon, and Willie Nelson.
Hobbies: Enjoy watercolor and oil painting, design and sell precious and semi-precious stone, pearl, crystal, lampwork, sterling and gold jewelry. Read a variety of books, web blogs, and participate in web forums. Favorite poets are (Jalal al-Din) Rumi, Robert Frost, John Trudell, and william Blake...favorite artists are Claude Monet, Vincent Van Gogh, J.D. Challenger, Frank Howell, Kirby Sattler, Norman Rockwell, and Andy Warhol.
I'm a wife, mother, environmentalist, democrat, peace and human rights advocate. I love nature, animals, poetry, art, reading, and good songs that are not offensive to anyone. I value honesty and integrity. Some who know me say I'm still on my spiritual journey. I find peace in Buddism and feel a strong link to Native American spirituality. I also have a strong interest in the Sufi sect of Islam. I believe in intelligent design of the universe AND evolution. I am a free spirit and belong to no established religion. My faith/preyerrs are private between myself and the Creator. Geneticaly, I'm an American mix of European Anglo and Cherokee Indian. I identify with my Cherokee grandmother and my American Indian ancestors for their cultural, social, ethical and moral values. I am also a loyal American. I don't agree with our leaders, and I hate any and all wars, but I love my country which God blessed with breathtaking beauty and bounty.
