Hello, I have been a licensed General for less than a year. I am enjoying ham radio a lot. You will find me on 40m every single day! I monitor several 2 meter Chicago area repeaters. The STARS repeater 146.640 -600 pl 107.2 , CFMC 146.760 -600 pl 107.2, and Argonne 145.190 -600 107.2. You may catch me on the STARS nets including Skywarn and some of the W9DUP and CFMC nets. I enjoy talking to any ham on any mode. My Echolink node is 350937. I have Echolink on when I am in the shack. I am a member of two great clubs, Hamfesters (W9AA) and STARS (W9src). Thank you to my friends in both clubs for the help and encouragement in getting my General license. My equipment consists of an IC-718, IC-2200h, IC-2AT, and a TR-2500. My HF antenna is a Mini 5GRV (thanks to Tom KA9ZXN). My 2 meter antenna is a simple groundplane in the attic.
