Why have I posted? Sheer self indulgence, to embarrass the Mrs and to show how my playing is getting along to all friends & my family in Scotland (Rock on Ryan!) More importantly, posting vids gives me the motivation to practice and is also a chronical of my progress in learning and trying to progress. (I think it is important people bear that in mind when trying to understand why you would post yourself playing if you aren't the worlds greatest?) How good do I think I am? V V average!! but I will get better with practice, like us all, and I hope to see improvement in each of the vids I post. ANY budding guitarist who has practiced hard in their bedroom to gain the confidence to post a vid, has my upmost respect. This is regardless of their current standard, age, or the standard of others on youtube. If I encourage just one person to pick up and play their guitar, practice hard and enjoy the thrill of playing and recording to the best of your current ability, I will be delighted! I have found youtube a great forum to get honest feedback/encouragement from other like minded guitarists of all standards. On that note, a big thank you to Solodallas who has spent a lot of his time posting vids and giving tips that continue to both help and influence me. Thank you Fil. A big thank you also to Tony and Ken who have taken the time to embelish (for the better) some of my own music, which is a thrill for any rookie musician like me. I love buying cheap 2nd hand guitars (ebay mainly) and installing good hardware in the decent ones I pick up, but will spend proper money for the right guitar. What do I use? GUITARS 1989 Epi Les Paul P'ups - Gibson HB-L & HB-R (same era) 1992 Epi SG P'ups - Gibson HB-L & HB-R (same era) Vintage Les Paul Pups Duncan Distortion and SH2N Squire Strat P'ups - Duncan Hot,Vintage and Cool Rails Keiper Les Paul Hollowbody (ebay & beer!!) Stereo Version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3-oA4WeM2Q&fmt=18 Have always dug this tune and the story behind it. What would U do with a cop pointing his weapon at you? Write a song or dump your pants? Angus chose the former. Good choice :)
