This is the "live" version of the prelude and fugue. It is shown as is, no editing whatsoever. In this version we also implemented Sandro's recommendation (what are the friends for) to play the prelude in a slower tempo. I do not have preferences myself.

This recording was a nightmare. Sviatoslav Richter once said that the Well-Tempered Clavier was the most difficult piano work he had to play. I believe him. Maybe Simon was not ready yet for this piece. It took us too much time and we never got to the point of complete satisfaction. Not that...

Simon Plays Chopin Preludes Op. 28, No. 20 and No. 4. This version is performed much better and with better sound. The first version of the prelude No. 4 was not very good IMHO, but I am a perfectionist, so my opinion should be taken with some reserves. Some people liked the other version...
