TSHS students first couple of days in Kyoto, Japan. Tired, but it was all worth it. My short testimony: Before I left Japan, I regretted even signing up for it. I didn't think it would be any different to places I've been before in Asia. But I was totally wrong and I thank God for showing me a different perspective of Japan. I never thought of smiling ever while on this trip. I thought it was going to be boring and out of my league, but friends and my host student Maho Sakaki were awesome and helped me find something I could kbe happy about, and that was to experience and find something that I could be happy about. And so I did find something... That was trying to build stronger relationships with my peers and host student. My host student is fun, bubbley and down to earth. But I was one of those who tended to stay at home, listen to music etc.. She took me out almost every night to be with my friends and I'm grateful that she did because now I have the best of friends that I never dreamed of even talking to at the beginning of the year. So folks, now you know a holiday isn't a holiday unless you have friends and if you don't have friends with you, it's time to MAKE some new ones =] thats what I learnt
