Emily Amisano was the recipient of a Dancehouse Space Grant for the development of a new work 'bending the map' January 14- February 9, 2008 Emily - "Through this space grant I was able to undertake a period of creative development for my new work 'bending the map', which investigates the processes that occur in the human organism when confronted with an extreme survival situation. My primary aim for the time was to create a quantity of movement material for the work, to focus future investigation and research, and to refine and redefine my choreographic process."
