www.saa-uk.org.uk Jayasree Sen Gupta is a young up-and-coming vocalist specialising in the North Indian vocal genres of Khayal, Thumri, Gazal and other lighter styles. She had her training from the music maestro couple Pandit A.T. Kanan and Mrs Malabika Kanan. Jayasree is a regular artist of the All India Radio, Calcutta since 1987. She has travelled to different corners of India and abroad and presented stage performances. She has several audio releases in India to her credit and has featured on various television channels in India. In addition to the above achievements she has an M.A. in English from the University of Calcutta. Jayasree Sen Gupta is currently a Visiting Resident Artist with SAA-uk in Leeds where she gives one-to-one tuition, conducts workshops in South Asian Vocal Music and also performs.
