Hallelujah, as sung by the eternal Jeff Buckley, and written by the incomparable wordsmith Leonard Cohen. This moving masterpiece of a song came into being as all great pieces do -- Not only do they seem to call themselves forward of their own volition, but they also demonstrate the property of possessing multi-layered parables that are able to find their way into our hearts regardless as to where we are on our Journey. They meet us where we stand today as well as where we shall be tomorrow, evolving as our understanding evolves. Disguised on the surface as the ever-familiar dichotomic foreplay of human relations, the deeper layers of this song foretell the inevitability of a much greater union of the parts into the Whole. Not merely the male with the female. Not merely the 'here' with the 'there'. But the One with the ALL. This is my humble tribute to Jeff and Leonard and the gift they have given us. A deep thank you goes out to all the 'crayons' who are so graciously indulging my usage of their 'colors' in compiling this tribute. It is by your unselfish generosity that I am able to color outside of the lines freely for others to enjoy. I do hope you enjoy this one. Peace- unASLEEP
