"Let's Get Loud" is the fifth and final single from Jennifer Lopez's debut album, On the 6 (1999), released in 2000. As the single was released in Europe and Australia only, it wasn't able to enter the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. However, the song did manage to chart on the U.S. Hot Dance Club Play, peaking at number nine. The song also earned Lopez her second nomination for the Grammy Award for "Best Dance Recording" in 2001 (the first being for "Waiting for Tonight" the previous year). The song was originally written for Gloria Estefan, but feeling it was a little too similar to many of her previous songs, she decided that Lopez could put a new spin on it and would have more fun with it. In Australia, where the single received heavy airplay, the song became somewhat of an anthem for major sporting events on TV due to the song's empowering lyrics. Portions of this song are also played at some ice hockey games in the USA to try to "pump up" the crowd. The song was covered by singer Taylor Horn, who recorded the song on her debut album, taylor-made at the age of nine in 2002. [edit] Track listings
