this time this will cover Soul Calibur III for the PS2 and the acarde edition. Soul Calibur III was made to a PS2 exclusive and now it has been changed that it was acarde first and then consoles second but it seemed it was released for the consoles first and such. anyways Soul Calibur III is actually the fourth game in the main series but since with SC they changed the moniker then three it is. this happens to be one of my favorite Soul Calibur games ever i just don't know why it has amazing replay value probably the best in a fighting game i have ever seen and also it has alot of more characters now. the new characters introduced is Tira a psycho bi polar girl, Setsuka a mix of queen of hearts and a gesiha not japanaese though, and Zasameal an awesome character and the first black character to the series which is a welcome addition. also newcomers are one of my favorite mimic character named Olcadan the O rly owl yeah him he is funny and awesome please return in SCIV, and also abyss and night terror two bosses. also returning is Siegfried finally he is coming back and also Hwang and li long basically bouns characters but never the less back and also they brought in bouns characters and a new character Amy which became a regular character for the acarde edition and SCIV. the replay value it has in this game is enormus but because it doesn't have online mode it really brings the awesomness in things that you can do like the Tales of Souls the main story mode of SCIII, Chronicles of the sword is a great addition to the series as it is another story mode and not focus on the SC cast but rather on CAS cast. also they brought in a tournmants mode that is really cool and mimic a tourny style gameplay, also cool they brought back mission mode, also another cool thing is there is still acarde mode but without the story and such. also you can train with olcadan which is funny and also they brought back in game endings like the ones for Soul edge and soul blade. also namco surprised me that they used THX which is the boom sound you hear in the movie theaters which is great and awesome and also the opening intro is the best of Soul series history and one of the best in any fighters to date. also the shop area is more alive now with the shop girls and such it seems awesome like that. overall it is one of the best Soul game to date till SCIV comes out but there is some issues. 1. it had a rather unbalanced cast and all also some of their movesets were changed a little but this is minor. 2. which is the bigger problem a glitch that erases your data if you start Chronicles of the sword which is the bigger bummer that happened because of that i suggest a new memory card with no saved data just for SCIII thats it. anyways hopefully you enjoyed this part of the retrospective and stay tunned for part five where its about Soul Calibur Legends.
