Smokey eyes linger in a hazy light Down by the station On the not so lucky side. Cars slice aire, and train passes by. A glance, a frantic prance A loving tug upon my pants. And in this mystic smoke I'm thrilled, my skin chilled And bump razed skin Shows only a hint Of how cold outside it is. "Perhaps that is your arms about me Preparing to throw me Onto the train..." Oh, onto the train, So strange a thing... I've never been tossed about So carelessly so. The conductor looks so grim And the passengers so gloom. This is the train... This is the train of... And as I hover 'Bout the cars of Life I see all the toil and all the strife "How could it be this way" You beg, and tip the keg And it pours murky and sour. What will we do in our final hour? A tug on a sleeve Means so much to me, And frankly, I could care less today.
