By coincidence, a brilliant version of this song was posted a few days ago by Somerset 45 while I was preparing this upload. Ted Black's Orchestra was one of those wonderfully sweet bands that is sadly forgotten today. He formed his band in 1929, keeping most of the original musicians when it disbanded in 1943. The band toured, recorded, signed on to a few radio shows and even appeared on Broadway for the 1931 musical Bally Hoo. Author Roger Kinkle wrote Black's band, "left it's mark mainly with excellent recordings of the early 1930's". Hence it certainly deserved a second post. This excellent record was made for Victor in 1931. It is an English version of the famous song "J'ai deux amours" by Vincent Scotto with original French lyrics by Georges Koger and Henri Varna; English lyrics were added by Jack Murray and Barry Trivers. The lovely vocal is by Frank Munn (first picture), further personnel is unknown.
