*STORY IN DESCRIPTION* The next day, Steffi dropped off her two friends at the Jonas' house and picked up the three brothers. As she shifted into the shotgun seat and allowed Kevin to take the wheel, she asked, "So, what're we doing today?" Kevin answered for the group. "We're going to a water park! Hopefully, not many people will recognize us at this one." "Ok, wait...which one?" "You'll see," Joe said mischievously. Steffi looked a little worried, but she went with it. They ended up driving for an hour-and-a-half before reaching the amusement park. Nick had gotten a text from Allie saying they had to get Steffi back to the gazebo by six—that was when her parents had agreed to call in. He smiled and showed it to Joe, who later passed on the message to Kevin while Nick and Steffi were on a rollercoaster ride. "So, what did you get her for a present?" Joe asked Kevin while the other two were in the middle of a loop-de-loop ride screaming loudly with their arms raised. Kevin replied, "Oh, you know, nothing major. What'd you get her?" "You'll see," Joe said mysteriously, turning and watching Nick and Steffi go up and down in the ride. Kevin started to ask Joe what he was talking about but was cut off by the return of a soaked Nick and Steffi. Steffi was whisked away by Joe to a huge water rollercoaster ride; after that, Kevin took the opportunity to take Steffi to another (quieter) ride. The brothers kept switching shifts for who was to distract the birthday girl while the one or two people left out of the activity checked in on the planning and gave advice on what should go where. This method worked well throughout the day; Steffi hadn't even thought about what her two friends were doing until the ride back to LA. Then, however, she got extremely curious—this feeling was only intensified when Kevin's, Nick's and Joe's answers to her questions remained vague and the three of them kept awkwardly changing the subject. After the first hour, Steffi finally gave up on questioning Nick and Kevin. Instead, she focused her attention on the road, occasionally asking Joe a random question or two. Soon, though, she even lost interest in this; as she grew more introspective, Joe became a little concerned and slipped his arm around her shoulders. [AN: On the way back to LA, Steffi was sitting in the back with Joe.] She leaned against him quietly; she didn't even say anything when Nick made a weak joke about the two of them looking like an old married couple sitting like that. Instead, Joe shot a glare at his little brother that made Nick recoil in fear. Steffi didn't notice Kevin had passed Lucy's house; all that time, she had been thinking about how this birthday was one of the quietest ones she had in a while. All her birthdays, Lucy and Allie had somehow found a way to create a huge fuss about it; even though she was severely embarrassed by this tradition, she found that this year, she missed it in a strange way. She was jolted out of her reverie when Joe slipped a blindfold over her eyes. "What are you doing?" she asked, confused. As an answer, he squeezed her shoulders gently and whispered in her ear, "You'll see. Just go along with it." He then led her out of the car and through the park. When he was about five feet away from the transformed gazebo (with everybody inside it), he said, "You ready for this Steffi?" She made an exasperated sound. "Ready for what?" Right after she finished talking, Joe removed the blindfold and everybody shouted, "Surprise!" Steffi stepped back, shocked at seeing Allie, Lucy, their parents via computer screen, all of the Jonas family, Jason, Chris, and hearing her parents shout over the phone. Her mouth dropped open, and she murmured, "Oh, my, God." NICE MOVE IN THE CAR JOE. IS HE STEPPING UP, OR JUST STAYING A FRIEND? AND WHAT IS IT WITH HIM AND THE PHRASE 'YOU'LL SEE'? WHAT IS STEFFI 'OMG'ING ABOUT (wow, talk about an obvious deo)? WILL SHE END UP REGRETTING THAT SHE TOLD DENISE HER SECRET?
