So...Away from the craziness for a bit. I had bought my dress already, and made arrangements for my cousin to come over to do my hair. So now it was 1 week till the dance. It was also craziness. With trying to put together the dance, feel comfortable with a date, and repairing a really good friendship. I don't know how things could become so bad. I mean, when he said I'm not the same...it hurt. I mean I know I'm not as peppy as a ten year old anymore but it just really hit me. But Nicks changed as well. He's...just different. We never use to get into fights. I guess its just, growing up changes most of us. And the pressures of being a teen I guess. I got up from my bed and decided to walk around a bit. I put my hair up in a ponytail and walked out of the room. I walked slowly and took my time. I just needed time to think. Sometimes I don't know why I freak out about Nick and Sarah. I walked through the cafeteria. I passed by the table where Oliver had grabbed my hand. I close my eyes shut and took a big breath as I walked towards the back of the cafeteria. Where it lead outside, to a lunch patio with umbrellas over tables, and bamboo chairs. It looked over the view of the ocean we happened to be near. I leaned over the railings that lead out to the ocean. But it was a bit chilly. I guess the cold was starting the kick in. It was the week of Christmas Eve. The sky was turning a soft blue. I sighed. "What are you doing out here?" I heard the voice come from behind me. I looked down, sighed and turned to face the stranger. I turned around to find Oliver. I kept my face expression. I didn't show happiness, but I didn't show anger or confusion. I crossed my arms around my chest "I could ask you the same thing" He started walking towards me slowly. His hands in his pockets. "Clever.." He then walked and leaned over the railing just like I was before. " Look Savannah...." He started I leaned over the railing again. I just looked out into the ocean and waited for him to finish his sentence. Oliver kept staring at me. He swallowed and spoke. " I just want you to know....that I really liked you. For a couple of months now...and I'm really glad that were going to the dance together -- really, I am. So I was just wondering,....do you like me...the way I like you?" Boy, this kid was pushing it. It took a few moments before I spoke again, I pushed a lose lock of hair behind my ear. "Well...I said 'yes' didn't I?" His expression didn't change, he looked out into the ocean for a quick second then back at me. " Yes but...that doesn't answer my question completely" I really didn't want to have to tell him that I didn't exactly have a crush on him. But I didn't want to tell him the only reason I said yes was because I felt bad. I sighed. "Well...I don't know if I exactly like you. But I am willing to give you a chance. And maybe something will come out of that..." Oh no. Oliver kind of slid his body over, the tiniest bit closer to me "So...do you think something will come out of that?" I slowly slid my body about a centimeter further from him. "Um...maybe...it-it depends" I said nervously. I don't know what this boy is going to pull next. He then slid closer to me. And his hand began touching my arm. He rested his hand on my arm. This kid is touching me! I quickly pulled my arm away and started rubbing the spot where he had touched 'Look Oliver...don't you think you are taking this a little too fast?" I moved away from the railing and was now facing so my hip was towards the railing, and started backing up slowly. He then turned so his body was facing mine. He hand still on the railing and as he approached me his hand slid smoothly across the railing. " Taking what?" He said. Even though I could tell in his voice he knew what. I still backed up slowly. "Oliver, what do you think your doing?" I took each step going back carefully. It wasn't long until....dang. The rail had ended. Now my back was against the railing. There was no more to back up to, unless I were to fall off. He was slowly gliding towards me. His face with a sly smile. The closer he got, the more curious I got. What is he going to do? Soon His body was directly in front of mine His eyes locked with mine. I wasn't staring at him to be romantic. I was serious. He sheepishly laughed slightly. He looked down moved closer and was now centimeters from my face. But more importantly, my lips. "Oh trust me...something will come out of this" He started leaning in his head to mine. He's proceeding slowly to make his lips meet with mine. I couldn't move. There was nowhere for me to go. I was up against a railing, and if I were to try anyway as if to backup, I would flip off the railing and fall back into the water. I felt his breath come towards my mouth...My muscles wouldn't move, no matter how much I tried to move them, I was stuck....
